NAQUA monitoring network
The NAQUA National Groundwater Monitoring network consists of the four modules QUANT, TREND, SPEZ and ISOT.
Groundwater quantity is monitored by the QUANT module and its quality by the two modules TREND and SPEZ. The ISOT module is used to monitor the water isotopes in the hydrologic cycle, i.e. in runoff water, watercourses and groundwater.
The monitoring sites cover the various regions, the main aquifers and the different hydrogeological settings and land uses. They provide nationally representative results on the quantity and quality of groundwater in Switzerland.
