The Rotterdam PIC Convention (Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides) lays down obligations on the provision of  information and reporting that must be followed when trading in certain hazardous chemicals and pesticides. The Convention obliges the contractual parties to inform other countries about bans and limitations on use that have been imposed and to report exports to the recipient country.
