Park label
Park projects that meet the requirements specified by the federal authorities are awarded the “Park of national importance” label.
At the request of the canton concerned, the federal authorities will award the park authority the "Park of national importance" label if
- the park's long-term future is assured by appropriate measures and
- the park meets the specified criteria and requirements.
Only park projects recognized by the federal authorities as a "Park of national importance" are allowed to use the park label.
The park authority is allowed to use the park label to publicize the park so long as this is not associated with advertising for individual goods or services. The "Park of national importance" label is the property of the Confederation, registered with the Federal Institute of Intellectual Property and thus legally protected.
