Description In recent years, Switzerland has made considerable efforts to substantially reduce emissions of carcinogenic soot particles from diesel engines. Thanks to technological advances in exhaust aftertreatment, efficient particle filter systems are now available for almost every type of machine and class of engine. These normally reduce the emission of particularly harmful fine soot particles by more than 99 per cent.
