Guideline for the integrated hazard management of landslides, rockfall and hillslope debris flows
This guideline explains the management of landslides, hillslope debris flows and rockfall processes. These natural hazards are identified and evaluated using state-of-the-art methods. The criteria of probability of occurrence and intensity are determined for the compilation of hazard maps. The evaluation of risks, definition of protection objectives and target measures and the determination of the action requirement is ne-cessary for planning. The process to be implemented for the optimisation of measures incorporates the examination of all options for action. These include spatial planning, biological, structural and organisational measures. The evaluation of measures takes technical, economic, ecological and social criteria into account.
