International climate policy: stages and results

Rio, Kyoto, Marrakech, Cancun, Paris – the milestones in the debate surrounding climate protection. Since the adoption of the Climate Change Convention in 1992, national representatives from all over the world meet regularly with the aim of combatting climate change.

Since 1995: Annual meeting of the signatories to the Climate Change Convention (COP, Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC):

Since 2005: Annual meeting of signatories to the Climate Change Convention (COP) and simultaneous conference of the signatories to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP, Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol):
