Richieste della Svizzera nell’ambito dei negoziati internazionali sul clima (UNFCCC): 2016

La Svizzera si impegna attivamente per un regime climatico globale che garantisca una riduzione sufficiente dei gas serra e che sostenga i Paesi in via di sviluppo nell’adattamento ai cambiamenti climatici. Le richieste (submissions) sono una componente dei negoziati nell’ambito della Convenzione sul clima (UNFCCC): ogni parte contraente può esprimere la propria posizione e avanzare proposte in sede di processo negoziale.

The Environmental Integrity Group (EIG) expresses its appreciation for the opportunity to submit its views on possible elements and guiding principles for continuing and enhancing the Lima Work Programme (LWP), taking into account recommendations and insights resulting from activities already completed under the Work Programme.

Common modalities for the accounting of financial resources provided and mobilized are essential for improved accountability, improved understanding of Parties efforts, environmental integrity, increased comparability of data, and improved confidence and trust amongst Parties. Therefore, the EIG welcomes the opportunity to present its views on the modalities for the accounting of financial resources provided and mobilized through public interventions in accordance with Article 9, paragraph 7, of the Paris Agreement.

EIG’s views on features, information, and accounting of mitigation NDCs (September 2016)
The EIG is pleased to submit its views on APA Item 3, “Further guidance in relation to the mitigation section of decision 1/CP.21 on: (a) features of nationally determined contributions, as specified in paragraph 26; (b) information to facilitate clarity, transparency and understanding of nationally determined contributions, as specified in paragraph 28; and (c) accounting for Parties’ nationally determined contributions, as specified in paragraph 31”.

The EIG is pleased to submit its views on APA Item 5, “Modalities, procedures and guidelines for the transparency framework for action and support referred to in Article 13 of the Paris Agreement”.

Further guidance in relation to the adaptation communication (September 2016)
The Environmental Integrity Group (EIG) recognizes that several submitted INDCs include an adaptation component and supports the statement of the Paris Agreement that adaptation is a global challenge that must be faced at international, regional, national, subnational and local levels.
