The National Air Pollution Monitoring Network (NABEL) and cantonal and urban monitoring networks provide information on current concentrations of the principal pollutants. These measured data serve as the basis for modelling air quality throughout Switzerland.

Maps of annual values
Based on model calculations and on the levels measured at monitoring stations operated by the federal government, cantons and municipalities, maps of the air pollution are calculated with the aid of an interpolation procedure.
