Digital Affairs and Resources Division
The division is responsible for cross-sectional and support functions at the FOEN. It is made up of the Digital Affairs, Finance and Controlling, Human Resources, Process and Risk Management, Services, Translation Service and Environmental Data sections.
Tasks and topics
- Digital Affairs provides support in all matters relating to digitalisation, from office automation to the implementation and operation of specialist applications.
- Environmental Data develops and promotes standards and analysis methods aimed at ensuring an efficient data management. It also compiles and maintains Switzerland's environmental indicators.
- Finance and Controlling coordinates the budget and financial plan and is responsible for the annual financial statements.
- Human Resources advises staff on all personnel matters and is responsible for operational and strategic personnel management and for implementing personnel policy throughout the FOEN.
- Process and Risik Management assists with implementing and improving management, core and support processes.
- Services provides the necessary infrastructure and a wide range of other services. It also manages the business administration system (GEVER) and is responsible for postal and archive services.
- Translation Service translates FOEN documents, reviews the quality of internally or externally translated documents and ensures terminological consistency.
