Nutrition

Nutrition is with housing and mobility the area of consumption and production with the greatest effects on the environment.

Housing

Living, working and recreational activities place demands on settlement areas. These areas are constantly expanding and affect the environment. Construction activity and settlement structure affect mobility and raw material requirements. The latter is gaining in importance in relation to building use, whose life cycle assessment continues to improve thanks to new and adapted standards.

Mobility

Mobility connects people and the economy in all regions of Switzerland. At the same time, the increasing volumes of traffic also have a negative impact, affecting humans and the environment through greenhouse gas emissions, air pollutants, noise, habitat fragmentation and the consumption of soil and resources.
