Modeling results for 2005, 2010 and 2020
| Year | 2013 | |

| Description | Particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5) ambient concentrations were modelled for Switzerland. Based on emission inventories, primary particles were determined by dispersion modelling, and secondary aerosols were modelled empirically. Primary and secondary particles contribute similar percentages to the total concentration. Between 2005 and 2020, PM10 emissions are expected to decrease by 15% (PM2.5: 30%) due to several reduction measures. | |
