Topic Environmental law

Protection of the environment requires that all actors of society apply environmentally sound practices. The aim of environmental policy is to promote such practices. Environmental law is an important instrument for the implementation of environmental policy.

Environmental law - Environmental law comprises a number of fundamental acts and associated ordinances, including the Environmental Protection Act (USG), the Gene Technology Act (GTG), the Waters Protection Act (GSchG) and the Forests Act (WaG). In addition, the FOEN reports on ongoing and planned environmental legislation projects.
