Economic consulting

Various advisory services are available within the FOEN to provide support for macroeconomic and environmental-economic issues. The main focus of the advisory services is on ex-ante and ex-post evaluations.

The aim of economic consulting is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of environmental policy and the associated measures. Several guidelines are available for this purpose in order to provide targeted and effective advice to the FOEN's specialist sections.

What if we could make the success of policy measures clearer and more visible, from the initial idea right through to implementation and evaluation? This is exactly what impact logic does: it provides us with guidance and support throughout the entire policy cycle, enabling us to make informed decisions and work towards our goals in a targeted manner.

Economic assessment of environmental measures

In order to design the most effective, efficient and economically viable environmental policy, the FOEN assesses environmental policy measures with the aid of a manual (Economic Assessment of Environmental Measures (known by the German acronym VOBU)).
