Purpose of experiment:
- Research on the inactivation rate of enteroviruses in the environmental conditions of Lake Leman;
- The tests are carried out around the research platform LéXPLORE, using capsules that allow the viruses to be confronted with lake processes that may affect their persistence while preventing the tested enteroviruses from reaching the environment;
- Development of a tool to predict the risk of waterborne viral infections during recreational water use in the Lake Leman

- Plateform LéXPLORE on Lake Leman (VD), 46°30’0.819’’ North et 6°39’39.007 ‘’ East
Duration of experiment: from september 2021 to september 2022
Licensing procedure:
- The procedure is based on Articles 17 et seq. and 20 et seq. of the Ordinance on the Handling of Organisms in the Environment (Release Ordinance, RO) of 10 September 2008 (SR 814.911).
