Bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi
Under the Containment Ordinance (ContainO), the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) is required to keep lists of organisms (Art. 26 ContainO) classified according to the risk they pose to public health and the environment. Listed are natural microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi) and the groups to which they have been assigned.
The officially classified organisms can now be found on ECOGEN. The lists of organisms below are no longer up to date.
