Basic legal sources

Wood-based materials (e.g. chipboard and fibreboard) may only be place don the market if the levels of arsenic, lead, cadmium, mercury, benzo[a]pyrene and pentachlorophenol that they contain do not exceed the prescribed limits. The aim is to prevent pollutants finding their way into new products via wood residues.
