Data: Greenhouse gas emissions in Switzerland

Data on Switzerland’s greenhouse gas emissions are included in Switzerland’s greenhouse gas inventory. National reporting in the context of the CO2 Act and international reporting in the context of the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement are based on this data.

Switzerland has resolved to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions. The international emission reduction commitments in the frame of the Kyoto Protocol (first commitment period 2008-2012, second commitment period 2013-2020) and the Paris Agreement is implemented on the national level by the CO2 Act. Annual investigations show whether the prescribed emission reduction paths are met.
