International cooperation
Internationally, Switzerland cooperates on natural hazards with neighbouring countries with which it shares lakes (e.g. Lago Maggiore, Lake Geneva or where rivers cross both countries).
In the Alpine region, there is cooperation with the Working Group on Natural Hazards and with the EU within the framework of the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region. There is also international cooperation in Sendai monitoring and in the monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals.
