QUANT module

The QUANT module of the NAQUA National Groundwater Monitoring records the state and variation of groundwater quantity across the country.

The QUANT module monitors groundwater quantity in Switzerland's characteristic water resources in terms of groundwater levels and spring discharges. Water temperature, electrical conductivity and, to some extent, turbidity are continuously recorded as well.

44 of the current 89 monitoring sites of the QUANT module are operated by the confederation and 45 are run by the cantons or water supplies. Most monitoring sites are equipped for remote data transmission. The data of several cantonal monitoring sites are still uploaded periodically and are therefore not available immediately.

30 monitoring sites of the QUANT module are also part of the TREND module and 16 are part of the SPEZ module.
